Erika is the owner and esthetician at EGA Salon and Spa. Having started her studies in journalism school, halfway through college, Erika decided to instead pursue her passion of the beauty industry and become a trained Cosmetologist and Esthetician. Erika received a degree in Medical Esthetics from the Universidad de Morón in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2009. Her 1700 hours of training in just esthetics (1000 hours more than the requirement for licensure in the State of Illinois) and her passion for continuing education is what sets her apart from most in the skin care industry. Erika is also trained as a stylist, having studied at PINO, also in Buenos Aires, under one of the most famous and sought after stylists and educators in Argentina. Having gained valuable knowledge and experience from various positions, including working under various doctors, working as a stylist, medical esthetician, as well as a manager. Erika's well rounded experience has allowed her to stay ahead of the field when it comes to knowledge, techniques, and education.
With a cosmetologist for a grandmother and a teacher for a mother, at an early age, Emily was instilled with a love of education and of the beauty industry. This upbringing led her to constantly strive for more knowledge and education, so that her guests always leave the chair looking and feeling their best. Moving to Chicago in 2010, graduating from Paul Mitchell the School Chicago and passing the Illinois State Board test to become a licensed cosmetologist are some of her proudest moments, but only the beginning of a thriving career. Jennifer B. is a born and raised Chicago native. As a licensed barber, esthetic school graduate and certified scalp micropigmentation artist her knowledge of the industry is extensive. For nearly a decade she's been helping people look and feel their best professionally. "My mother, a cosmetologist for over 20 years, has recently been fighting a battle with alopecia. Melanie Campos was born and raised in the western suburbs. Melanie is a second generation cosmetologist who fell in love with the world of hair at an early age. She picked up as much as she could assisting at her mother's salon. Growing up in the hair industry gave her the desire to pursue her career as a cosmetologist later in life. Her goal to become a servant to America was also her dream, so instead of jumping right into the beauty industry, she decided to join the U.S. Army. Melanie served 4 amazing years as a specialist and finished her military career to focus on being a mother to her children. Melanie knew it was time to go back to her calling and enrolled into Tricoci University and received her license in 2012. School was an amazing experience and having her personal mentor at home gave her a drive to achieve as much as her mother, Melanie worked as a hairstylist and quickly made her way into managing a Regis owned salon In Montgomery. Striving to elevate her knowledge and skills she moved to Chicago and was welcomed to EGA Salon and Spa family.
